On Friday, February 26, 2021, the Monozukuri Hardware Cup 2021, a pitch contest organized by the Monozukuri Entrepreneurship Promotion Council, was held online as a gateway to global expansion for Japanese hardware startups. Water Design Japan was selected as the 1st prize winner from among the 8 finalists that passed the main competition. The company will advance to the "Hardware Cup 2021 Finals" to be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the spring of 2021.
